Azerbaijan posts slight increase in population

The population of Azerbaijan has increased by 0.4% since the beginning of the last year, reaching 10,222,002 people as of December 1, 2024.

Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee, that the urban population made 54.5% and rural population made 45.5% of the total number.

This is while men make up 49.8% of the Azerbaijani population and women are responsible for 50.2%.
