Western countries impose Islamophobia on their residents, Azerbaijani MP Tural Ganjaliyev said at an international scientific conference themed "Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas," held in Baku.
Report quotes the MP as saying Islamophobia and racism are closely related:
"For example, in Switzerland, 11% of the white Muslim population is exposed to Islamophobia. Islamophobia is increasingly diversifying in countries around the world. One end of this diversification leads to racism, creating enmity between people. Therefore, Muslims, Christians and Jews must be united and fight together."
Ganjaliyev said that currently, in a number of countries, hatred and hostility towards Muslims are being propagated:
"If we want to fight against this, we must first start with ourselves. First, we must educate ourselves, propagate the beauty of worship and Islam, its good sides."
