A delegation headed by Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of Azerbaijan, recently visited several religious sites in Romania.
According to Report, on March 2, the delegation toured the Sinaia Monastery of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Sinaia, the Caraiman Monastery in Busteni, and the Black Church of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Brasov.
During their visit, the Azerbaijani delegation was provided with detailed information regarding the activities of religious communities in Romania and the historical significance of the churches.
While visiting these religious sites, Chairman Mammadov discussed with the leaders of the religious communities the measures taken in Azerbaijan to ensure religious freedom, the country's successful model of state-religion relations, and Azerbaijan's initiatives to promote interfaith understanding and interreligious dialogue on an international level.
He highlighted that there are ample opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Romania in the realm of religious affairs and the promotion of multicultural traditions, similar to other sectors.
