Zelenskyy: Russian Armed Forces may try to intensify strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions for favorable political reasons

In the coming days, the Russian Armed Forces may try to increase pressure and strikes on Ukrainian positions with the "aim of creating more favorable political circumstances for talks with global actors," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on social networks after the update by Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi on the situation on the front, Report informs.

According to Zelenskyy, he came to this conclusion based on the political and diplomatic situation around Ukraine and Syrskyi's update.

"We are recording the movements and preparations of Russian troops. Of course, we will counteract - if necessary, asymmetrically... We are defending our positions along the entire front line and for the second day in a row, we have had success in some extremely difficult areas in the Donetsk region - in the Dobropillia and Pokrovsk directions," he noted.
