Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approves resignation of defense minister

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the resignation of Oleksii Reznikov from the post of Minister of Defense, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said, Report informs via RBC-Ukraine.

The decision was supported by 327 MPs.

Reznikov submitted his resignation yesterday.

Talks about Reznikov's resignation were preceded by various scandals over possible corruption purchases for the army.

The Ukrainian media say that after the dismissal, Reznikov may be appointed ambassador to the UK.
