President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has left for a state visit to Saudi Arabia, according to the Uzbek presidential press service, Report informs referring to the Sputnik-Armenia.
The visit was organized at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
First, Mirziyoyev will visit the holy city of Medina. In the afternoon, he will arrive in the city of Jeddah, where the official events of the Uzbek-Saudi summit will take place.
Earlier it was reported that the negotiations will be devoted to cooperation in the field of "green energy". The parties will also discuss high technology and digitalization, innovation, small business and entrepreneurship. A package of bilateral documents will be signed.
This visit will be the first trip of the Uzbek president to Saudi Arabia in the last 30 years.
