Ukraine downs 8 planes, 3 helicopters and 4 UAVs of Russia, says Defense Ministry

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has issued an operative report on the latest situation on the frontline, Report informs, citing Ukrinform.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces Grouping continues its defense operation in the Eastern, Southeastern, and Northeastern directions: "The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully hold back the Russians in all directions, while in some areas the troops carry out successful counterattacks."

"The Russian forces pursue insidious missile and bomb strikes, trying to destroy infrastructure and residential areas of Ukrainian cities.

"The Joint Forces of Ukraine repulsed seven enemy attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk directions throughout the day. The Ukrainian forces destroyed 12 tanks, 10 infantry fighting vehicles, and three vehicles. The enemy suffered manpower losses.

"The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the previous day downed 17 air targets - eight warplanes, three helicopters, four UAVs of various types, and two cruise missiles," the operational update says.
