Ukraine strengthens defense on border with Belarus

Ukraine has strengthened the defense on the border with Belarus, said the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, Report informs, referring to UNIAN.

According to him, similar steps are being taken in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, located on the border with Russia in the north of Ukraine: "Recently, we have been under artillery fire in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. In addition, Ukrainian defense forces and border guards are strengthening these areas to prevent the re-occupation of the regions.

Demchenko emphasized that they have also strengthened the border with Belarus: "This country supports Russia in the war against Ukraine. Neither the Armed Forces of Ukraine nor the border guards ruled out the possibility of Belarus joining the war on Russia's side."
