Ukraine disconnects from Russian and Belarusian power grids

Ukraine has completely disconnected from the Russian and Belarusian energy systems and operates offline, Ukrenergo said in a statement, Report informs, citing UNIAN.
During the day on February 22, 20.4 million kWh of electricity was imported only from Belarus to the trade zone "IPS of Ukraine".
This is the first stage of testing Ukraine's power grid in a mode isolated from Russia, Belarus and the ENTSO-E network in preparation for synchronization with the European ENTSO-E, which was scheduled for February 24-26, 2022.
Tests in isolated mode and future synchronization of the Ukrainian power grid with the power grid of continental Europe will be carried out in a single control unit with Moldova's power grid.
