Turkish media: Pashinyan lost war in 2020, and peace in 2023

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan lost the war in 2020 and the peace in 2023, Report informs referring to the Turkish newspaper Karar.

The article notes that Armenia, which was defeated in the 44-day war against Azerbaijan and is unlikely to win a potentially new one, instead of reducing tension on the Lachin road, is trying to strengthen it.

Pashinyan’s statement on the so-called ‘anniversary of the independence of Karabakh’, a separatist entity not recognized, including by Armenia itself, is also noted.

Pashinyan is notorious for his statement on August 5, 2019 ‘Karabakh is Armenia and that’s it’, which then on May 22, 2023 was transformed into a readiness to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan with a total area of 86,600 square kilometers, including Karabakh, the article says.

“What is this? Is it really an attempt to return to the desire to question the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan? But hopes for the possibility of achieving peace have not faded completely,” the author writes.
