Head of Turkey's National Intelligence Organization Hakan Fidan will meet with the Director of the Syrian National Security Bureau Ali Mamlouk in Baghdad, Report informs, citing "Turkiye".
"The meeting can set the beginning of a new process. There is no need for the mediation of countries like Russia and Iran. Certain activism with the participation of Hakan Fidan will lead to a new era in the diplomatic and political fields," said İsmail Hakkı, former intelligence chief of the Turkish General Staff.
The last meeting between Hakan Fidan and Ali Mamlouk was held in Moscow in January 2020.
