Turkey to build plant in Ukraine to produce Bayraktar

"Turkey and Ukraine will sign a framework agreement on the construction of a plant for the production of Bayraktar UAVs," Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said at a briefing on February 3, Report informs, citing UNIAN.

According to him, the agreement will be signed today and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for ratification: "Framework agreements are also planned today. Yesterday, the governments approved the text of the agreement on cooperation between Turkey and Ukraine in the field of high military technology."

The Minister noted that a training centre will be established to manage UAVs: "According to the decision of the Turkish company producing Bayraktar, the Ukrainian engine" Motor-Sichi will be used in the next generation of drones."
