President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that a number of concrete agreements were reached during talks with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, according to Report's Kazakhstan bureau.
Speaking at a briefing following the negotiations in Astana, Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan and Slovakia have significant potential for cooperation, including in the field of military-technical collaboration.
"In addition, during our talks, we discussed the joint utilization of one of the strategically important trade routes — the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor. I invited our Slovak partners to participate in this project, which could open new horizons for bilateral trade," said the Kazakh president.
The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR or Middle Corridor) is a key international trade corridor that runs through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and further to Türkiye and European countries.
