Ten fast food outlets shut down in Kyrgyz capital after multiple poisoning cases

Ten fast food outlets in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, have been shut down after mass shawarma poisoning affected 71 people. During two days of inspections at food outlets, 36 protocols were drawn up with fines of over $6,000, Report informs via Kyrgyz media.
Checks are being carried out in the Sverdlovsk and Pervomaisky districts, and will begin tomorrow in the Oktyabrsky and Leninsky districts.
Residents of the capital of Kyrgyzstan started to seek medical aid on September 30. A total of 50 people were poisoned at one outlet and 17 at another. Another four turned to doctors later, after they ate shawarma at other points. A total of 36 people were hospitalized, five of them children.
In total, there are more than 200 constantly operating fast food outlets in the capital.
