Syrian envoy to Russia receives notification of recall to Damascus

Syrian Ambassador to Moscow Bashar Jaafari has been notified of his recall to Damascus and the change of the head of the republic's diplomatic mission in Russia, Report informs via TASS.

"Such a notification was sent to the ambassador from Damascus, there will be a new ambassador in Moscow, which will be announced by the Syrian Foreign Ministry," he said.

On April 8, the embassy's Telegram channel published information that Jaafari was leaving Moscow and was appointed to a position in the administration in Damascus. Later, the diplomatic mission noted that the embassy's social networks had been hacked and no official information about the change of ambassador had been received.
