Russian, Turkish diplomats discuss cooperation in BSEC, G20 and WTO

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Pankin discussed with his Turkish counterpart Faruk Kaymakci the tasks and opportunities for cooperation between Russia and Turkey in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC), the Group of Twenty (G20) and the WTO, the Russian Foreign Ministry said, Report informs citing TASS.
"A wide range of topical international issues was considered in a meaningful and frank manner with an emphasis on strengthening global and regional economic cooperation. Important attention was paid to the specific tasks and opportunities for interaction between Russia and Turkey in such key formats of multilateral diplomacy as the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC), the Group of Twenty and the WTO," the statement said.
During the consultations, mutual readiness for close joint work was confirmed on the initiative of holding a summit of heads of state and government in Istanbul on the occasion of the BSEC’s 30th anniversary in summer, as well as the effective implementation of the program of events of the Russian chairmanship in the organization in July-December.
The Turkish deputy foreign minister is on a visit to Moscow.
