Russia strikes SOCAR oil base in Ukraine's Odesa

Russian Armed Forces attacked the oil depot of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in the Odesa region with Shahed-type drones late on August 8. As a result of the strike, a fire broke out and a diesel fuel pipeline was damaged, sources in law enforcement agencies told RBC-Ukraine, Report informs.

According to the sources, the fire was quickly contained. Four employees received serious injuries and were provided with emergency medical care.

The extent of the damage is currently being determined. Urgent restoration work is underway.

Sources note that the official investigation data has not yet been released, however, the trajectory five guided drones clearly indicates that the oil depot was the main target of the attack.

Earlier the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office reported the partial destruction of a pumping station and damage to facilities at one of the enterprises.
