Russia’s Central Election Commission: 11 people participating in presidential election campaign

At this stage, 11 people are participating in the election campaign for the presidential elections in Russia, said Chairperson of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, Report informs referring to Russian media.
She noted that eight of them were nominated by political parties and three were self-nominated.
There are already three fully officially registered candidates: Leonid Slutsky from the LDPR, Vladislav Davankov from the New People party and Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, she added.
For the first time in the history of the Russian Federation the elections in 2024 will be held over three days, from March 15 to 17.
