Russia and US begin talks on return of confiscated properties

Representatives of Russia and the United States have begun negotiations regarding access to six Russian diplomatic properties on US territory that were effectively confiscated, Russian Ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, said.

Report informs via Russian media that, according to Antonov, a negotiation process has already been initiated concerning the return of six diplomatic real estate properties, which were effectively confiscated by US authorities between 2016 and 2018, Darcheev clarified.

The ambassador added that the US side has been given a "roadmap" outlining realistic timelines and demanding that representatives of the Russian diplomatic mission be granted access to these properties for inspection and assessment of the damage incurred.
