Russia adheres to statement on preventing nuclear war, says Lavrov 

Russia adheres to the Joint Statement of the Leaders of the Five Nuclear-Weapon States on Preventing Nuclear War and Avoiding Arms Races, Foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with Argumenty I Fakti newspaper, Report informs.

He said that in accordance with this statement approved at the highest level, it is necessary to prevent any armed conflict between nuclear-weapon states: "As for loud statements that Russia will face certain consequences, such threatening language is, of course, unacceptable. We are not going to discuss this topic with them because it is clearly ineffective."
