Rally held in Bishkek against change in Kyrgyzstan flag

A rally was held in Bishkek against changing the national flag of Kyrgyzstan, Report informs via Kyrgyz media.
The protesters demanded to reject the bill adopted by members of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) in the first reading.
Earlier, the speaker of the parliament, Nurlan Shakiyev, and the MP, Ulan Primov, prepared a bill proposing to change the shape of the sun’s rays on the flag from wavy to straight.
The initiative was supported by the country's President Sadyr Japarov. He emphasized that the MPs were not proposing changes to the concept of the flag, they only proposed changing the rays of the sun so that there would be no association with a sunflower.
