Putin to be first Russian leader to visit Alaska

President Vladimir Putin will be the first Russian leader to visit Alaska, Report informs via Russian media outlets.
It is noted that no Russian president has visited this state so far.
According to statistics, the average American visits ten and a half states in their lifetime, but one in ten people has never traveled outside their state, and only 12% of US residents have visited Alaska.
The Russian president last visited the United States in 2015.
The meeting between Putin and Trump will take place in Alaska on August 15.
The Russian leader's aide, Yuri Ushakov, confirmed the information. According to him, the choice of location was dictated by the geographical proximity of the two countries.
