Putin, Kim Jong Un meet at Vostochny space launch facility

Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met at the Vostochny space center in Russia’s Far Eastern Amur Region, Report informs referring to TASS.

According to a TASS correspondent, the two leaders had a brief conversation when they met each other.

The Russian leader flew to Vostochny from the Primorye Region in Russia’s Far East, where he participated in the Eastern Economic Forum. The North Korean leader arrived on a train to the space center’s rail station.

Later in the day, Putin and Kim will hold negotiations in the extended format and, possibly, a one-on-one meeting. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier that the talks will focus primarily on bilateral cooperation, including trade and economic ties and cultural exchanges. Apart from that, the leaders will have a comprehensive exchange of opinions about the situation in the region and the international affairs in general.
