After power outages in 24 provinces of Iran, residents of the capital Tehran and the city of Dehdasht in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province held protest demonstrations and chanted anti-government slogans, Report informs via Iran International.
Protesters, demonstrating against power outages and interruptions during cold weather conditions, chanted slogans such as "Death to the dictator!" and "Death to the Islamic Republic!"
During the incident in Dehdasht, Atef Tahirnia, Jaber Firoughi, Kamran Bouzari, Amir Hussein Jafari, and Pouria Barati were detained by police.
According to Iran International, due to adverse weather conditions, Iran's Ministry of Education announced that schools, banks, universities, and government institutions in 24 provinces would be closed for one day on February 12. Additionally, it was announced that schools would not operate virtually either.
