Presidents of Russia, Iran discuss situation in Middle East

The Presidents of Russia and Iran, Vladimir Putin and Ebrahim Raisi, respectively, discussed the escalation of the situation in the Middle East after the Israeli attack on Iran's diplomatic mission in Damascus, Report informs via TASS.

According to the information from the Kremlin, Putin expressed hopes that Iran and Israel will behave with restraint and will not allow a new stage of conflict.

In particular, Raisi said that Iran is not interested in further escalation of the conflict.
