President of Uzbekistan fires mayor due to city's poor preparation for winter

Mayor of Tashkent Jahongir Artykhodzhaev has been relieved of his position, Report informs via Uzbek.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev fired him for poor preparation of the city for winter.

First Deputy Khokim (Mayor) Bakhtiyor Rakhmonov was appointed Acting khokim of the capital.

Besides, Farkhad Abdurakhmanov, chairman of Thermal Power Plants, was also fired.

Khokims of several districts of Tashkent received reprimands.
