Peskov: Russia-US normalization should include lifting of sanctions

The normalization of Russia-US relations requires Washington to lift the sanctions imposed against Moscow, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists, Report informs.

"Our attitude towards these sanctions is well known. We consider them illegal. As for the normalization of bilateral relations, they need to be freed from this negative burden, i.e., sanctions," he noted.

Peskov further stated that it is too early to say anything about progress on this issue.
