Peskov: Kremlin not involved in decision to hand over Navalny’s body

The Kremlin has nothing to do with the decision to release the body of Alexei Navalny to his mother, Russian Presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said during a press call, Report informs referring to Russian media.
He called the statement of the politician’s supporters about the Kremlin’s involvement in the timing of the transfer of the body absurd.
“The Kremlin has nothing to do with this, and accordingly the Kremlin cannot exert any pressure. These are yet another absurd accusations from these supporters, in my opinion, they are all wanted in one way or another, almost all of them are abroad, so we need to treat their statements accordingly,” he said.
