Pashinyan says Armenia may withdraw lawsuits against Azerbaijan after peace treaty

Armenia considers acceptable the idea of withdrawing lawsuits filed in international courts against Azerbaijan after signing a peace agreement, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with Armenpress, Report informs.

Pashinyan called the withdrawal of lawsuits logical when a peace treaty is signed: "There are two nuances here. One of them is that there should be a clear perspective for resolving certain humanitarian issues discussed at international forums in a bilateral format, and secondly, it should be clearly understood that after removing disputes on other issues from international platforms, the parties should no longer raise the same issues and aggravate the agenda of bilateral relations, turning them into a permanent source of escalation."
