Protester dies in tent camp in Yerevan

One of the protesters in Yerevan has died in a tent camp from cardiac arrest, Report informs referring to Sputnik-Armenia.

“An unidentified citizen was taken by ambulance from one of the tents in France Square to the first university hospital with a diagnosis of cardiac arrest. Resuscitation measures were carried out in the hospital, which, unfortunately, despite all the efforts of the authorities, turned out to be ineffective,” representative of the Yerevan State Medical University Shushan Danielyan wrote in social networks.

Since April 25, the opposition has been holding protests throughout Armenia. The protesters are convinced that the policy of the authorities threatens the country with the loss of statehood. In Yerevan, the opposition has been blocking streets and regional highways for several days, including key transport hubs.

Thirteen people were detained on May 5 in Yerevan at protests demanding the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.

So far, 13 people have been delivered to the police departments.

Since May 5 morning, protesters have been blocking the streets of the Armenian capital, urging citizens to join their struggle. Rallies are held both in the center of Yerevan and on the outskirts.
