Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran.

According to Report, which cites information from the Armenian government, Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia's relationship with Iran is based on natural interests.

In turn, Araghchi stated that the relations between the two countries hold strategic importance.

"The parties discussed the implementation of new projects between Armenia and Iran in the economic sphere, including infrastructure and energy," the statement read.

Furthermore, during the meeting, Pashinyan and Araghchi exchanged views on the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, including the signing of a peace agreement, as well as other matters of mutual interest.

According to Report, which cites foreign media, the talks focused on strengthening ties and addressing current regional challenges.

Araghchi, who is visiting Armenia, also previously held talks with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
