Parade of Victory starts on Red Square in Moscow

The parade on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War has kicked off on Red Square in Moscow, Report informs via TASS.

First, the announcer declared the Parade of Victory open.

Then the banner group brought the flag of Russia and the Banner of Victory to Red Square - a red banner hoisted over the Reichstag by soldiers of the 150th Idritskaya division in 1945 - to the music of the song "Holy War" performed by a combined orchestra.

On the central podium are Russian President Vladimir Putin, the leaders of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Nikol Pashinyan, Alexander Lukashenko, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Sadyr Japarov, Emomali Rahmon, Serdar Berdimuhamedow and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as veterans and guests of the event.
