One person killed in gas station explosion in Uzbekistan

One person died as a result of an explosion and subsequent fire at a multi-fuel gas station in Fergana, Uzbekistan, according to the press service of the Regional Emergency Management Department, Report informs referring to Uzbek media.

Additionally, four people were injured, and eight are under medical observation.

According to the Emergency Management Department, the explosion occurred at 13:43 local time during the discharge of liquefied gas.

The incident was caused by violations of technological process and safety regulations.
