Iran and the United States are considering an agreement that will allow the Islamic Republic to develop peaceful nuclear energy, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Report informs via Izvesita.
"The United States and Iran have agreed to move on to the next stage of their discussions aimed at concluding a fair deal that will ensure Iran's complete freedom from sanctions and will preserve its opportunities for the development of peaceful nuclear energy," the message says.
In addition, the Omani Foreign Ministry said the next round of talks will be held in Muscat in the coming days.
Earlier, on April 19, at the second stage of negotiations between Iran and the United States in Rome, the Iranian delegation was headed by Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi. Washington was introduced by the President's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff. Before the start, Aragchi said that a nuclear deal was possible if there were no "unrealistic demands."
