Contract workers in Iran's oil industry have warned the government that they will go on strike if the arrests, murders, and harassment are not abandoned over the hijab in the country, Report informs via RadioFarda.
As noted, the organizing council of the contract workers of the oil industry expressed their outrage at the killing of Mahsa Amini.
The council said they support the people's struggle against organized violence against women and poverty prevailing in the country.
"Protesting is an inalienable right of workers. We are human beings and have been protesting against the oppression imposed on us for more than forty years. We no longer want to tolerate this slavery and injustice," the workers stressed.
