NPP construction in Kazakhstan may cost up to $15 billion

The construction of a nuclear power plant (NPP) in Kazakhstan is projected to cost between $14 and $15 billion, Almassadam Satkaliyev, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Agency of Kazakhstan, stated during the official groundbreaking ceremony, Report informs via Kazakh media.
“The amount of investments directed to the project will be approximately $14–15 billion,” Satkaliyev stated.
The facility is expected to be completed between 2035 and 2036.
