Turkish authorities have seized 455.2 kilograms of cocaine at Istanbul Airport, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Trade, Report informs.
An official investigation into the incident is currently underway.
Türkiye's Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, commended the Customs Protection teams for their effective operation, stressing that the country remains firmly committed to combating drug trafficking.
"We will not allow drug traffickers to operate freely," Yerlikaya stated.
