Moscow hospitals preparing for new wave of COVID-19

The incidence of COVID-19 in Russia over the past week has soared by 48%, and the number of hospitalizations has increased by 20.6%, Report informs via Russian media.

From September 11 to September 17, 11,516 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the country and the number of COVID-related deaths was 14.

For the specified period in Moscow city alone, the figures were 4,617 and 3, respectively.

Meanwhile, Russian Telegram channels, citing sources, report that hospitals in Moscow City and the Moscow Oblast have begun preparing for the autumn wave of coronavirus infections. At the reserve hospital in Sokolniki, the COVID-19 center has begun to function again. Also, in some districts of the capital, additional ARVI rooms began to operate - their operating hours have also increased. Doctors will be on duty from 7:00 to 22:00 Moscow time. Doctors worked with this schedule during the peak of COVID-19 incidence before.
