Mirziyoyev, Biden mull issues of bilateral and regional co-op

As part of the events of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, the presidents of Uzbekistan and US Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Joe Biden held talks, Report informs referring to the Uzbek media citing the press service of the president of Uzbekistan.

“Current issues of the bilateral agenda and regional interaction were considered. The US president confirmed his strong support for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the course of ongoing irreversible reforms in New Uzbekistan,” the message says.

The parties positively assessed the results of bilateral meetings with the business community and the business forum that took place on the eve of Mirziyoyev’s visit to the US.

They discussed the implementation of practical cooperation projects with leading US companies and banks, the continuation of constructive interaction in the field of human rights, gender equality and other areas.
