Media: High-ranking Russian officer killed, two injured near Kharkiv

A battle in Ukraine's Kharkiv region has killed a high-ranking Russian military officer and seriously injured two others, said Roman Tsymbaliuk, an employee of Om TV in Ukraine, Report informs.

According to him, Deputy Commander of the 2nd Guards Motor Rifle Division No. 23626 in Kalininets, Moscow Region, Lieutenant-Colonel Andrei Smirnov, Commander of the 15th Motor Rifle Brigade No. 31134 of the same division, Colonel Kharitonov, were seriously injured:

"Lieutenant-Colonel Deins Mejuyev, commander of the 1st Motor Rifle Brigade No. 31135 of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division stationed in Kalininets, died."
