The mayor of the Armenian capital Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, has been sacked.

As a result of the vote in the council, Hrachya Sargsyan was elected acting mayor of the capital. Until now, he worked as the first deputy mayor.
Earlier, Marutyan made scandalous statements in his farewell speech.
