Lufthansa extends suspension of flights to Tehran until May 9

The biggest German airline Lufthansa has extended the suspension of flights to Tehran until May 9, Report informs referring to a statement on the air carrier’s website.

"As already communicated, flights to Tehran will remain canceled up to and including Thursday, May 9 and flights to Beirut will remain canceled up to and including Tuesday, April 30. Iranian airspace will not be used, too.

The safety of passengers and crews is always the top priority; the Lufthansa Group does not rely solely on government assessments but evaluates the current safety situation itself and then makes its own decisions."
