Kobakhidze: Georgia will not change its foreign policy towards EU

The only way and the main priority of Georgia's foreign policy is accession to the European Union, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said, Report informs via Sputnik Georgia.
"Naturally, our path lies only in the direction of the European Union, and our main external priority is EU membership... Our responsibility to the great European figures is to make every contribution to the revival of the European Union," she said.
Georgia received EU candidate status in December 2023 and nine new conditions that the country must meet to begin membership negotiations. Among them are overcoming polarization, de-oligarchization, ensuring free and competitive elections and others.
