The memorandum signed between Kazakhstan and Bulgaria on the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, Middle Corridor) reflects the desire of the two countries to strengthen cooperation and develop relationships in the field of transport and logistics, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said in a press statement after a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana.
According to Report, the Bulgarian president noted that there is currently enormous potential for strengthening cooperation between Astana and Sofia.
"I am confident that today's talks will give new impetus to bilateral cooperation. The signed memorandum on the further development of the TITR is the embodiment of our aspirations. It is necessary to make the most of the strategic geographical position of Kazakhstan and Bulgaria along this route, which connects Asia with Europe. In addition, we have enormous opportunities not only in cargo transportation, energy and digitalization, but also in expanding our cultural ties," Radev stressed.
