Iranian Foreign Ministry: Presence of other forces in region violates stability

The presence of other actors in the region is not only unhelpful, but also disrupts stability, the Iranian Foreign Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said at a press conference, Report informs.

According to him, the security of the countries of the country should be ensured by themselves.

"Experience has shown that extra-regional countries always pursue their own interests and their presence has never been useful. Wherever American forces were present, they not only did not provide security, but also created instability and insecurity," Kanaani said.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman also emphasized the importance of diplomatic consultations to resolve disputes.

Armenia and the United States are holding joint military exercises EAGLE PARTNER 2023 on Armenian territory from September 11 to 20.

Also, answering another question, Nasser Kanaani noted that Iran has always emphasized respect for the territorial integrity of countries and has always opposed any change in international borders. Mutual recognition of the territorial integrity of both sides by Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan will be an important step to achieve lasting peace and security, he said, adding that Iran does not support any action against these principles.
