Iran expels two German diplomats

Tehran has declared two German diplomats persona non grata, Report informs via Iranian media.
Iran's priority is to communicate in an atmosphere of mutual respect, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said.
"But if certain parties try to ignore the basic rules and the national sovereignty of our country, definitely alternative solutions cannot be avoided," he said.
The decision to declare German diplomats persona non grata was made by the Iranian authorities after Berlin expelled two Iranian diplomats on February 22 in response to the death sentence imposed on Jamshid Sharmahd, the holder of dual German and Iranian citizenship. The Iranian judicial authorities found him guilty of terrorist activities.
