Iran announces condition for resuming talks with US

Iran should be assured of the effectiveness of diplomacy in the negotiation process with the US, said Esmaeil Baghaei, Spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Report informs via Mehr News Agency.
According to Baghaei, diplomacy should not be negatively labeled or stigmatized:
"Diplomacy is a means and an opportunity. Under no circumstances can we deprive the country of this tool to secure national rights and interests."
The spokesperson added that just as the Iranian Armed Forces are committed to the task of defending the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should also help realize the country's interests by making optimal use of diplomatic tools.
