The head of Russia's Financial Monitoring Service (Rosfinmonitoring), Yuri Chikhanchin, has disclosed that the devastating terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall was orchestrated by an international team. This multinational group reportedly includes individuals from Central Asian and European countries, as well as Russian nationals.
According to Report, which cites TASS, that speaking before the Federation Council, Russia's upper house of parliament, Chikhanchin stated, "Regarding the Crocus City incident, I would refrain from saying too much as the investigation is ongoing. However, I can confidently say that this was undoubtedly an international team with representatives from various countries. It includes individuals from Central Asian countries, European countries, and there are many Russians involved as well."
The attack, which occurred on the evening of March 22 in Krasnogorsk, a suburb of Moscow, has been labeled as one of the deadliest terrorist incidents in recent Russian history. According to the latest reports, the death toll has reached 144, with 551 people injured.
To date, 11 individuals have been arrested in connection with the attack, including four who are believed to be the direct perpetrators.
