An International University of Turkic States will be established in the capital of Uzbekistan, according to the country's Ministry of Justice.
Report informs via Uzbek media that the new university will train personnel for engineering, construction, logistics, IT and programming, healthcare, agriculture, food industry, economics, and social sectors in accordance with international standards.
"Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, the educational process at the university will be organized based on the curricula of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Türkiye that are ranked in the top 1000 by internationally recognized educational organizations and are leading in their field," reads the document.
Student education at the university will be provided on a paid contract basis, with admission parameters and contract fees to be set by the university itself.
A governing council will be created to establish and coordinate the activities of the higher educational institution.
