Inflation in Türkiye to drop from 75.4% to 38% by end of 2024

Inflation in Türkiye will begin to decrease in June, Turkish Vice President of Cevdet Yilmaz said on NTV, Report informs.
“We have taken certain steps in the transitional period to fight inflation. Decrease in inflation will begin after May, and continue in the following months. By the end of the year, inflation will fall to 38%. We have lowered our inflation target below 10% for 2026, when we will reach single digits,” Yilmaz said.
Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said earlier that the worst period for the country's economy is over and in June, it started moving towards disinflation.
